A lose situation for Jake Paul?

YouTuber Jake Paul has been hit with a lawsuit after carrying out another one of his stupid pranks and this time, might actually lose the legal battle. The ex-Disney Star, who currently has approximately 11 million subscribers on YouTube, has been known recently for his obnoxious behaviour by causing disruption and occasionally destruction to his surrounding community together with his group called "Team 10" which consists of fellow YouTubers. Some of you may remember when Team 10 created a bonfire in their backyard pool which eventually rose to 10 feet, or when Jake Paul and his team revealed the location of their mansion which subsequently caused a huge group of fans to lurk around the neighborhood. As a result, Jake Paul's neighbours are under constant distress due to the constant disturbances and they have even stated it's like living in a "warzone". The police have been called numerous times to contain the situation and have evidently had difficulties

Logan Paul's fake service dog

There has been recent outrage among the YouTube community after Logan Paul (Jake Paul's brother) has falsely labelled his dog Kong as a service dog. Also, Logan Paul has no disability whatsoever. Pretty messed up, right? Similarly to his younger brother Jake, Logan Paul has been known to do stupid things, though not as extreme as his brother. He seems to have a knack of faking things. A few months back, he had convinced his fan-base that he was color-blind. However, thanks to the heroics of YouTubers Ethan Klein (H3H3) and Idubzzz, Logan was thoroughly exposed through their video which was full of satire and comedic analysis (love it). From there, it was only natural Logan received backlash and was put to shame. Fast forward to today, Logan is back to his antics again. In a recent video, Logan shows his fans that he was able to register his pet dog Kong as a certified service dog as he was only allowed one pet in his apartment which he shares with some fellow YouTubers. The tw

Cuphead: Difficulty of a Game is something “Relative”

Cuphead is a 2D shooter video game that is developed and published by StudioMDHR Entertainment and is released on September 29, 2017. Upon the release of the game, up until now, Cuphead still receiving positive reviews, despite the difficulty of the game. On October 2, PewDiePie released a video about him playing Cuphead for the first time. It can be seen from that video how the difficulty of the game is rather relative. He started playing, he already read some reviews first, telling about this difficult game with positive reviews. When he played, PewDiePie able to finish the tutorial faster than the mentioned game journalist, and exclaimed that it is necessary for people who are writing reviews for the game to play it properly beforehand. Although PewDiePie died several times in the first stage that he encountered, he is able to defeat one of the bosses without dying after that. At the end of the video, PewDiePie mentioned that the difficulty of a game is designed for a m

Demonetisation and where to now?

Where do we go from here? (Check out our previous post about this before reading on!) "The YouTube community is the body armour that stops competitors at getting at Youtube" - Casey Casey believes this recent disruption to the Google owned video platform may pave the way for possible competitors that can offer much more such as, a wider audience and better opportunities for creators to monetise their content. Twitch is an example of a platform that appears to be a viable competitor. Majority of its users are gamers who make videos.. who knows what could happen next? We're going to go through the suggestions that Casey Neistat have provided. Remember that drama with Jimmy Kimmel and the ad controversy? YouTube attempted to explain below that some select partners are allowed to run their own ads --> Casey asks the question "Why can't I or other creators create our own ads?"  This is a great idea that creators could h

New Rising Trend on YouTube

"Try not to laugh" challenges are rapidly gaining popularity on YouTube due to participation of big name YouTubers. "Try not to laugh" or "You laugh, you lose" challenges are not new to YouTube, with videos being made by many different channels for years. However, these "Try not to laugh" challenges have recently re-appeared in the limelight due to many popular YouTubers, such as " PewDiePie " attempting them for their viewers. These "Try not to laugh" challenge videos are made up of a series of, normally unrelated, through which the viewer must not laugh in order to have 'won' the challenge. Many popular YouTubers film themselves struggling not to laugh in response to these clips in order to piece together a more amusing video, featuring not just the content from the do not to laugh challenge, but also their own, often hilarious, attempts to mask their own laughter and amusement. Another recent trend is &quo

Content Cop: Where are they now?

How effective is Content Cop? Content Cop is an immensely successful YouTube series by YouTuber iDubbbz. But how much does it affect the YouTubers that it is made about?  The first content cop made was made about Jinx, a growing reaction channel during the time on YouTube when reaction channels were really popular. He was close to 1.3 million subs at the time of the Content Cop. iDubbbz exposed Jinx for his lackluster and uncreative content. Following this Content Cop Jinx slowly released videos less frequently and lost more and more subs and views. It's hard to say whether Content Cop is the main reason Jinx's YouTube channel has died. But it did affect it greatly.  The FineBros were up next after their decision to trademark "react videos". However the Content Cop didn't add much to the already sinking ship that was their channel. They did decide to change their decision to trademark "react videos". Overall the Content Cop didn't affe

The Aftermath of Adpocalypse

Is the 'Adpocalypse' over yet?  Adpocalypse was the term dubbed by the internet to the drama that happened several months ago on YouTube when advertisements were seen on controversial videos, which freaked out the advertisers. Videos that included hate speech or even links to terrorist groups... Read more at Forbes !  Since then, YouTuber have dished up an AI bot and can be explained in their own words: "in the first few hours of a video upload we use machine learning to determine if a video meets our advertiser-friendly guidelines. This also applies to scheduled live streams, where our systems look at the title, description, thumbnail and tags even before the stream goes live."  Casey Neistat just recently made a video explaining his frustrations that the creators, whether small or large, are the lifeblood of YouTube. If people's livelihoods are invested in this company, and this is their way of making a living, they deserve to be trea

TechRax; Should throwing away money for YouTube views be allowed?

TechRax is a YouTuber who makes countless videos destroying phones and other expensive products in order to gain views. TechRax   has been making videos on YouTube for 8 years, creating content such as phone unboxings, tech reviews and phone comparison videos. However, since 2013, TechRax has begun making more "phone drop test" and "scratch test" videos until his content devolved to the point of continually and only producing content such as " What Happens If You Pour Molten Aluminum on 50 iPhones? " and " Burning Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus vs iPhone 7 Plus - Which Is Stronger? ". Since he began producing these videos, TechRax has gained millions of subscribers, with 5 million and 700 thousand subscribers as of now, and averaging between 500 thousand and 2 million views each video. One cannot deny that TechRax's newer style of videos work, gaining him the most views and subscribers, is destroying countless amounts of expensive technology w

YouTube Drama and Diss Tracks?

Diss Tracks? Diss tracks have been a large part in the music industry for decades, mainly in rap. In recent years diss tracks have made their way onto YouTube as a large part of YouTube drama and it looks like they're here to stay. There are many large YouTubers making diss tracks including RiceGum, iDubbbz, KSI, Jake Paul and many others. A group known as the Sidemen have made several diss tracks about each other due to an event known as the "Sidemen War" which was caused by a lot of internal drama within the group. A couple notable tracks are: "Warning mature language used" ComedyShortsGamer's "Sidemen Diss Track" iDubbbz' "Asian Jake Paul" Miniminter's "KSI'S LITTLE BROTHER"     As you can see, these videos seem to be quite popular on YouTube as they bring in plenty of views. With Miniminter's having over 26 Million views. These Diss tracks are most commonly used between YouTuber's who are having

The Human Mail Challenge, fake or real?

The Human Mail Challenge involves shipping yourself from one point to another through the postal system.  The Human Mail Challenge is among a recent string of challenge videos that have been attempted by many popular YouTubers such as  Ricegum  and  Kill'em  who have both made videos on the topic, but is it real? From the videos it seems apparent that the Human Mail Challenge seems to be entirely staged, as is easily seen in  Kill'em's video  where he tapes two plastic tubs together with himself inside, pushes them out to sea, and supposedly drifts from the UK to France. This showcases the insane nature of the challenge whereby if it was properly attempted, there would be many deaths due to people being dropped while in boxes, suffocating or, in Kill'ems case, drowning at sea. Ethan from h3h3productions made a video  addressing the absurd nature of this challenge, specifically debunking  Kill'em's video , through the use of satire, while also commentin

The feud continues! Idubzzz fires back with a 'Content Deputy'

YouTuber Idubzzz has finally released the long anticipated 'Content Deputy' after Ricegum's sloppy attempt to respond to the latest 'Content Cop'. For those who are unaware, Idubzzz's Content Deputy is a response video if the victim had replied to the Content Cop . Idubzzz's Content Deputy proved how Ricegum had failed to properly address the criticism detailed in the Content Cop video and instead has continued to manipulate his young audience by 'winning' arguments Idubzzz never even made. Some examples include; Ricegum believing that him being forgiven by the rape victim excuses his past actions, avoiding Idubzzz's criticism by shifting the blame to Pewdiepie and just so many more. In my opinion, Idubzzz's arguments just went right over Ricegum's head and maybe that explains his failure to properly respond to Idubzzz. This begs the question; is Ricegum even capable of basic comprehension? Another point proven by Idubzzz is th

RiceGum responds!

RiceGum has replied to iDubbbz Content Cop RiceGum has responded to iDubbbz content cop with his own 20 minute long video which can be found here: RiceGum comments about the content cop that was made about him in this video. He tries to defend himself with some relatively weak excuses. He says that the old videos were how he use to be when he was younger and that all of his videos are jokes, so nothing he says should be taken seriously. However it's relatively obvious that this isn't the truth. He doesn't even address over half the things which were brought up in iDubbbz content cop. Overall a really poor response from RiceGum, we'll have to check out his diss track later to see if it tops iDubbbz. - Connor

Adsense makes no sense?!

What's trending right now? Both big name YouTubers Ethan Klien (h3h3 productions) and Philip DeFranco have recently made videos emphasising and exposing the hypocrisy that YouTube has shown towards it's content creators. The recent controversy has stemmed from Casey Neistat's video 'Let's help the victims of the Las Vegas attack' , where he asked his viewers to donate money to a charity which would give the funds directly to those affected by the recent Las Vegas shooting. HOWEVER, even though Casey explicitly stated ALL advertisement revenue from the videos would also go to the charity, Youtube decided to effectively demonetise his video. Youtube tweeted a response to Casey citing "our policy is not to run ads on videos about tradgies." Sounds harmless and fair right? Right? 🤔 BUT NO! Videos such as late night shows host Jimmy Kimmel's video in response to the Las Vegas shooting had advertisements running before the video played.

RiceGum most recent victim of brutal new Content Cop video

However all was not as it seemed...
