YouTuber Jake Paul has been hit with a lawsuit after carrying out another one of his stupid pranks and this time, might actually lose the legal battle.
The ex-Disney Star, who currently has approximately 11 million subscribers on YouTube, has been known recently for his obnoxious behaviour by causing disruption and occasionally destruction to his surrounding community together with his group called "Team 10" which consists of fellow YouTubers. Some of you may remember when Team 10 created a bonfire in their backyard pool which eventually rose to 10 feet, or when Jake Paul and his team revealed the location of their mansion which subsequently caused a huge group of fans to lurk around the neighborhood. As a result, Jake Paul's neighbours are under constant distress due to the constant disturbances and they have even stated it's like living in a "warzone". The police have been called numerous times to contain the situation and have evidently had difficulties.
You would think that after a few months, Jake Paul would wise up and pull his act together. But that hasn't been the case. A recent prank has seen Jake and his team driving around L.A. blaring an extremely loud car horn at unsuspecting pedestrians and again publicly displaying his trademark obnoxious behaviour through the video. Consequently, one of the pedestrians filmed in the prank video decided to sue Jake and his team. The pedestrian has stated that the pranksters had caused his emotional distress and also damaged his hearing. Another thing that just infuriates me and viewers may have missed is that Jake did not receive consent from any of the people filmed in his video, which is a slip-up he regularly commits.
How is it that Jake Paul may see the losing side? Apparently, there has been a new lawsuit that it is not acceptable to damage people's hearing, even through comedic pranks. So Mr Jake Paul, I wonder who will get the last laugh at the end of this lawsuit?
